Where Have I Gone?

Made friends, and then dropped off the face of the planet. What is that all about? Clearly I'm talking metaphorically as I am still sitting here on planet Earth. But I have definitely neglected the blog for the last several months. On the bright side, I have been going things which warrant blogging, I simply haven't gotten around to sitting and writing about my adventures. So hopefully in the next couple of weeks I manage to scrap together the time to do the catch-up. That being said, I also told myself that I would get at least one blog done on Saturday and instead I just went and sat in the sun, without my laptop. Oh well, such is life.

So what have I been up to since around the Easter time? So many things. I have been to cute little towns, with quaint little tea shops and town criers. I have enjoyed glasses of cider in some relaxing traditional- and modern-looking pubs. And I have had some fun trying to cook some new foods that I've never really had before, nor have I ever cooked. It's been great fun!

Lately I have also had the pleasure, well disappointment really, of finding out why West Yorkshire has no thunderstorms. Well to be completely correct, they do occasionally happen, but such occasions are few and far between. That is one of my great opportunities, is having to chance to talk to different people who have different knowledge and really get to learn something that I might not have already thought to have learnt about.

As it turns out, one of my favourite weather phenomena (thunderstorms) need warmer climates that West Yorkshire to occur abundantly. That's why my friends back home in Ontario are enjoy plentiful thunder storms while I, am stuck here with just rain. Although to be fair, it has been quite nice of late, not to mention that it was nearly 30 degrees today. OK, it was only 27, but that was hot enough when your workplace has no air conditioning and your windows face the wrong direction.

Anyway, time just flies by when you're having fun. Let's see if I can have some fun (although not too much or I'll get distracted) and get some blogs out!
